Steak tacos with Cabbage slaw + Jalapeño lime crema

Carne Asada Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup orange juice (juice of one orange)

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (juice of one lime)

  • 2 cloves garlic, grated

  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Jalapeño Crema:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 grilled jalapeño, finely diced

  • 1 clove garlic, grated

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade: Combine the orange juice, soy sauce, lime juice, grated garlic, red wine vinegar, chili powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's evenly coated.

  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight.

  3. Prepare the Jalapeño Crema: Combine the sour cream, grilled and finely diced jalapeño, grated garlic, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.

  4. Grill the steak and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. Build taco with the crema on the bottom, Serve with a generous dollop of jalapeño crema on top. Finally, pair with Guinness.
